Coronavirus in Scotland - Death toll rises to six with 266 cases across the country

Three more people in Scotland have now died after testing positive for coronavirus, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to six.

Nicola Sturgeon has confirmed the news during First Minister's Questions at Holyrood this afternoon.

The number of confirmed cases in Scotland has also now risen to 266 from 227 yesterday.

The news comes a day after Ms Sturgeon announced in a press conference that schools and nurseries in Scotland would close tomorrow, potentially until the summer.

Museums, Glasgow Club gyms and libraries have already closed their doors in the city after Glasgow Life made the decision to suspend all services in line with Government advice.
