Coronavirus in Scotland: Contact tracing underway at St Aloysius College in Glasgow city centre

Coronavirus contact tracing is underway at St Aloysius College in Glasgow city centre.

NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde (NHSGCC) confirmed that their Test & Protect team are carrying out contact tracing around the private school, which is located on Hill Street in the Garnethill area.

At this time there is no evidence of transmission within the school itself.

In the meantime, Pblic Health, education departments and Glasgow City Council environmental health teams are working together to support the school and families affected.

NHSGCC say robust control measures are in place within the school and that, apart from those who are identified as close contacts, all other pupils and staff can continue to attend as normal.

Within the school, Public Health teams have systematically established a list of close contact, with Test and Protect staff contacting those identified as contacts. These close contacts are being advised to self-isolate and being given appropriate advice and support.

Members of the public are asked to remain vigilant.
