The locations in Nottinghamshire most affected by coronavirus pandemic

The latest data has revealed which areas of Nottinghamshire have been most affected by coronavirus.

Covid-19 cases are on the rise again in Nottinghamshire, public health officials say, and they are calling for people to act now to avoid local lockdowns similar to that in Leicester and Greater Manchester.

Data includes lab-confirmed positive cases of Covid-19 from pillar 1 (NHS hospital and Public Health England laboratories) and pillar 2 (commercial partner laboratories) of the Government's testing programme.

The latest surveillance report from Nottinghamshire County Council has revealed which areas have suffered the most cases so far, with a total of 3,147 as of August 9.

Public health experts recently told Nottinghamshire Live large gatherings and car sharing had become particularly problematic, owing to the noticeable rise in case numbers in the past few weeks.

An outbreak was also confirmed at the Bakkavor desserts factory in Newark, where a testing facility has now been set up to help track cases.
