Coronavirus: Idris Elba admits he fought with Sabrina as isolation tests couple

Idris Elba confessed he rowed with his wife Sabrina as self-isolation has tested the couple's relationship.

It has been 13 days since the Luther actor, 47, tested positive for coronavirus.

The newly-weds - who tied the knot last year - have been in isolation amid the pandemic after Sabrina chose to look after her husband and now both stars have the bug.

On Instagram live over the weekend, the Fast & Furious star admitted quarantine was a definite test of relationships and humanity in the face of the coronavirus crisis.

Idris admitted the couple fell out with each other and he had to go into another room as tensions have been rising amid the COVID-19 panic.

Elsewhere in his broadcast, Idris admitted he was lucky he wasn't showing symptoms of coronavirus.

However, he noted many people across the globe were dying from the bug.

He said: "Corona was set up as an instadeath-threat - everyone just thought oh my God I'm gonna die.

"But it's helped me to understand that COVID-19 is just one strand of corona and that made me feel better.

"I am lucky that I am not really showing any symptoms. Part of it is a lot of people don't understand it. But I'm not discrediting that people are dying..."

Earlier in the day, Sabrina explained her reasoning behind why she didn't mind contracting the virus.

The beauty said it was her instinct to want to be with her husband during this trying time to take care of him.

"I wanted to be with him," she said. "That's the instinct of a wife. You want to go and take care."
