The Scottish Government today said that 1436 people have now tested positive for coronavirus in Lanarkshire.
It comes as 1559 patients across Scotland who tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) have died.
And nine people in Lanarkshire were in intensive care at midnight, with confirmed or suspected coronavirus.
The Scottish test numbers for May 2 show a total of 58,833 people have been tested across the country.
Of these:
■ 46,906 tests were confirmed negative
■ 11,927 tests were positive
■ 1,559 patients who tested positive have died
■ 108 patients were in intensive care last night, with 97 of those having tested positive
■ There were 1,674 people in Scottish hospitals with either confirmed or suspected COVID-19 (including those in intensive care).
