Heart warming pictures show hardworking NHS staff enjoy a surprise delivery from Nandos
NHS workers from St Johns hospital in Livingston took a break from saving lives, to enjoy a free lunch from the Portuguese food chain.
St Johns Hospital Emergency Department thanked Nandos for the kind gesture saying: "Thanks so much to @NandosUK for kindly providing the staff in the ED with food today. Wonderful to see so many companies stepping up to support us in these challenging times."
Director for St John's Hospital, Aris Tyrothoulakis, shared pictures on social media showing how Nandos had lifted staff spirits in the hopital.
He said: "Big thanks to Jack & Kat from Livingston’s Nando’s who delivered some free food to the staff at St Johns Hospital today! Lots of happy faces!"
Nandos also announced that they will be giving all NHS workers a 20 percent discount in store.
It comes after a number of Edinburgh venues announced discounts for NHS workers battling the COVID-19 outbreak.
