Coronavirus: Good Morning Britain's Kate Garraway reassures viewers after croaky voice concerns

Good Morning Britain's Kate Garraway reassured viewers today after fans expressed concern for her health amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Kate and Ben Shephard presented Friday's instalment of the ITV daytime show, with Covid-19 very much dominating the news agenda.

However, viewers were quick to notice Kate's rather croaky voice and became concerned she'd contracted conoronavirus.

Kate was forced to address the concerns after receiving messages asking if she was under the weather, the Mirror Online reports.

The former I'm A Celebrity star was quick to deny she had coronavirus symptoms, or the virus at all.

Responding to the fan concern online, she explained the reason behind her raspy voice.

Kate confirmed from all the talking and reporting she was losing her voice slightly.

Ben appeared to mock this, asking her if she was sure about that.

But Kate again reassured those watching at home, insisting she was totally fine.

She and Ben sat further apart than usual as to isolate from one another, while neither were displaying symptoms.

Some viewers took to social media after noticing Kate's sore throat.

One viewer wrote on Twitter: "Kate has a croaky voice so could be a virus."

While others didn't appear to notice, as they watched the latest news on the coronavirus pandemic.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
