Coronavirus: Gemma Collins' Diva Forever suspends filming over health fears

Gemma Collins has confirmed that filming on Diva Forever, her reality series, has been suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The 39-year-old former TOWIE star shared the news on Instagram, just days after she had to close her clothing shop due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which left her in tears.

Writing on her Insta story, Gemma told her fans: "Guys it's important to listen to advice from the government at this time and 'stop the spread.'

"We're in the middle of shooting a new Diva series but we're going to pause filming with our crew to adhere to the social distancing guidelines.

"BUT I know a little entertainment is needed so don't worry we'll just be doing things slightly differently. What this space. Diva Forever."

With the nation facing lockdown, Gemma admitted that she got caught up in the desire to stock up on the essentials, including toilet roll and wine.

She said at the time: "I’m actually getting a bit worried myself. I didn’t want to get caught up in it all. But we are off to get some food shopping. Operation COVID 19.

“We’re taking no risks. The message I’m trying to get out here is to do what the government is saying. But we are off to the supermarket to stock up.”

Gemma will feel justified in that decision now, after Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that Britain will be in lockdown in a bid to halt the spread of coronavirus.

The reality star believes that she may have predicted the global pandemic in 2013.

In a video, which she reposted to her 1.6million followers, Gemma warns Sam Faiers: "There might be a day when Joey runs out of toilet roll and needs a toilet from you, love."

She added a tongue-in-cheek caption: "Gemma knew what was gonna happen in 2013," alongside shocked face emojis.
