Coronavirus: Final Destination star 'copies' infamous scene from movie to survive pandemic

Final Destination actor Devon Sawa has revealed he plans to copy an infamous scene from the horror movie in order to survive the coronavirus pandemic.

Devon starred in the first movie back in 2000 and observed today it was the 20 year anniversary of the film's release.

"Final destination was released 20 years ago today," he tweeted.

"Remember that scene in the movie where I quarantined myself in that cabin so death couldn't get me?

"I'm doing that right f***ing now in real life," he said in response to calls for people to self-isolate.

In the original Final Destination movie Devon barricaded himself in a cabin in the woods to try and escape death - only for him and his girlfriend to meet a nasty end thanks to some poorly stacked bricks.

The huge success of the first horror flick in 2000 sparked two sequels that followed the same premise of a group of teenagers surviving death only to find the grim reaper catch up with them in gruesome and creative ways.

Fans of the trilogy responded to Devon's tweet in support his isolating goals and shared their disbelief that it had been a whole two decades since the original movie came out.

"One of the only movies that truly scares me to this day!" said one.

"You can never cheat death," another warned him.

"When you come out. Watch out for loose bricks," advised a third.

This week it was revealed the 2011 film Congation has seen a huge spike in downloads amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The movie, starring Matt Damon, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Winslet, focuses on a virus that spreads 26million people worldwide.

Warner Bros, who distributed the film, said it was their most in demand film after the Harry Potter films.
