Coronavirus figures for Northern Ireland broken down by council area

Northern Ireland's coronavirus death toll rose to 516 today.

Figures from the Department of Health on Wednesday show that a further two patients have died in the past 24 hours after contracting the virus.

The latest report indicates that both fatalities recorded were aged 80 and over - one reported in Mid and East Antrim and the other in the Ards and North Down district.

And from these new figures, it's also been reported that 26 more individuals have tested positive for coronavirus across 11 Government Districts.

Breakdown of individuals with a Laboratory Completed Test by LGD:

A further 845 individuals were tested since yesterday's figures, resulting in 26 confirmed cases being added to the total number of cases in Northern Ireland, which now stands at 4,663.

In the last 24 hours, the Department has recorded an increase in suspected Covid-19 hospital inpatients by 64.

And two patients have been admitted to hospital with confirmed Covid-19 between 10am on Tuesday May 26 and 10am on Wednesday May 27.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 inpatients in Northern Ireland is now 110, and there are 500 suspected Covid-19 inpatients across our hospitals.

At present, there are eight patients in Intensive Care Units across Northern Ireland, one less than yesterday.
