Coronavirus figures for Northern Ireland broken down by council area

The latest report from Department of Health today has indicated sadly a further 17 people have passed away in Northern Ireland due to Coronavirus.

Six of those 17 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, while 11 occurred outside the last 24 hour period but have only just been reported.

Northern Ireland's death toll due to Covid-19 now stands at 404 fatalities; 208 males, 195 females and 1 not known.

The latest deaths were reported in Belfast (4), Armagh, Banbridge, Craigavon (4), Antrim & Newtownabbey (3), Lisburn & Castlereagh (1), Newry, Mourne & Down (1), Causeway, Coast and Glens (2), Ards & North Down (3). One of the deaths previously recorded as 'Not Known' has now been attributed to a council area.

At present 687 Covid-19 patients are in hospitals across NI with Covid-19, that's down 36 patients from yesterday's report. A total of 26 people remain in ICU in hospitals here with either confirmed or suspected Coronavirus.

A further 45 people have also been confirmed positive for the virus in Northern Ireland and an additional 848 people have been tested in the last 24 hours.

A total of 484 new samples have also been taken at National Testing Centres across the country in the last day.

Fermanagh and Omagh still remains the council area with the lowest number of positive cases (73) while Belfast is the highest with cases reaching 1,190.
