Coronavirus fears mean Hearts fans could be turned away from St Mirren game

Hearts fans could face being turned away from tonight's Premiership match against St Mirren.

Ahead of the match at the Simple Digital Arena, the home side have issued a statement with advice for fans regarding Coronavirus.

A win for Daniel Stendel's side would draw them level with 11th-placed St Mirren on points, but fans exhibiting symptoms could face being knocked back.

The Paisley side's statement reads: "We would respectfully ask that anyone who has any cold or flu like symptoms does not attend the game this evening.

"While there is every likelihood that you will just have the cold or flu it is imperative that we protect the health and wellbeing of all these who attend the game and we cannot take any risks.

"Our stewards will be briefed accordingly and anyone with cold or flu like symptoms will not be admitted.

"We apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused."

Hearts kick off at 7.45pm, with the match being shown on BBC Alba at 10pm.
