Staff at a Tesco in north Dublin have tested positive for COVID-19, it has emerged.
A small number of employees at the Tesco Extra in Clearwater Shopping Centre in Finglas have been infected with the virus, the company has confirmed.
It is believed that a number of other staff are getting tested or awaiting results.
Tesco told Dublin Live that it is following all "appropriate public health advice" including carrying out a deep clean of the store.
A spokesperson said: "The safety of our colleagues and customers is our number one priority. We can confirm that a small number of our colleagues have tested positive for Covid-19.
"We engaged immediately with the HSE and followed all appropriate public health advice.
"Although we were not required to do so, we have carried out a deep clean as a precautionary measure. We will not be providing information about individual colleagues."
