A south Dublin hairdressers has been forced to close its doors after a client tested positive for COVID-19.

Hair To Dye For in Rathcoole announced the temporary closure on their Facebook page earlier today.

They said that the salon will be shut until all staff receive negative test results but it is hoped that they will be up and running again by next Tuesday.

A spokesperson for the hairdressers said: “With a heavy heart Hair To Dye For has had a positive case of COVID-19 confirmed in salon.

“The HSE will be contact tracing everyone who was in the salon when the client was in the salon.

“We work on two separate teams but due to the high volumes of numbers of confirmed cases in the local area we have decided to close the salon until Tuesday the 8th of September until all staff receive negative results.

“Thank you for all your continued support. Stay safe.”
