Three coronavirus testing tents have been put up outside The University of Bolton Stadium.
All the tents have been positioned outside the Whites Hotel, which is based at Bolton Wanderers' football ground.
Initially, the shelters have been set up for NHS frontline staff, after the government announced that all NHS workers - even those without symptoms, would be able to get tested.
The drive-by test shelters have been erected by Horwich-based company Aquila Shelters Limited and they are due to be used from Thursday.
A spokesman for Bolton Wanderers said: "The council and NHS are doing a dry run to see if it works on this site.
"Last night they informed the club that it does and are hoping to go live on Thursday. "The centre is initially for key workers only."
It is understood that workers will have to book tests through the government's online portal.
Yesterday, it was also announced that testing would be rolled out for all symptomatic over 65s, symptomatic workers under 65 who are unable to work from home, asymptomatic social care workers, and care home residents.
