The total number of coronavirus deaths at hospital trusts in Greater Manchester, as of Tuesday, July 7 is:

The NHS publishes 24 hour mortality data for every hospital trust in England, charting every coronavirus death in their facility.

The daily figures do not include people who died in care homes or other community settings.

The NHS daily figures count deaths where the person had tested positive for the virus or where COVID-19 was mentioned on their death certificate.

These often include previously deaths that took place several days - or even weeks ago.

This is because of the time it takes for deaths to be confirmed as testing positive for COVID-19, for post-mortem examinations to be processed and for data from the tests to be validated.

Nationally, 36 people, who tested positive for COVID-19 have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 28,940.

Patients were aged between 53 and 98 years old, NHS England said.
