Greater Manchester's coronavirus death toll has risen again after 44 more lives were claimed by the virus.
The latest NHS data shows that in total 1,052 people have died in the region's hospitals after testing positive for COVID-19.
NHS England figures released on Wednesday show that another 90 people had died after contracting COVID-19 in the North West.
England reported 665 new deaths on Wednesday, Scotland reported 77, and Wales had 15 new deaths. Northern Ireland is yet to report its figures.
The total death toll is now 18,094 across the UK.

Further deaths have been recorded at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust, Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, Stockport NHS Foundation Trust, Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust and Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust.
The biggest increase in the last 24 hours was recorded at the Manchester University Foundation Trust where another 16 patients died.
Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust reported a further seven deaths, Bolton NHS Foundation Trust five, Salford Royal four, Stockport NHS Foundation Trust three, Tameside Hospital three and Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust four.
Two more people died of the virus at the Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.
The total number of deaths caused by coronavirus is likely to be much higher.
Deaths in the community, including care homes, are not recorded in these figures and are published by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) several days later.
On April 22, the total figures for coronavirus related deaths at Greater Manchester hospitals stand at:

- Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust - 216
- Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust - 271
- Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust - 2
- Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust -122
- Stockport NHS Foundation Trust - 89
- Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust - 89
- The Christie NHS Foundation Trust - 6
- Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust - 115
Some of the larger trusts run several hospitals in Greater Manchester.
Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust oversees the Manchester Royal Infirmary (MRI), Wythenshawe Hospital and Trafford General, while Pennine Acute is in charge of North Manchester General Hospital, Fairfield Hospital, the Royal Oldham Hospital and Rochdale Infirmary.
