Coronavirus costs one more life in Northern Ireland, according to latest figures

One person has passed away after testing positive for Covid-19, latest figures show.

The Department of Health’s daily bulletin stated on Saturday that one person had died in the 24 hour period between May 29 at 10am and today, May 30, at 10am.

The death brings to 522 the total number of people who have died after testing positive for the virus.

The Department of Health ‘dashboard’ also reveals that until May 29, 64,290 people laboratory tests for Covid-19 have been conducted on 51,373 people. A total of 4,709 people have tested positive, the bulletin added.

On Friday, latest figures published by NISRA showed that there have been 716 Covid-19 related deaths up until May 22 when deaths where Coronavirus is mentioned on the death certificate (but someone has not necessarily been tested) are included.
