Coronavirus conspiracy theorist storms out of cashless Starbucks with panini

A man who believes the coronavirus is made-up stormed out of Starbucks with a panini after being told they were unable to accept cash.

Angry Kevin Fraser posted a video of his experience in the Edinburgh coffee shop.

He uploaded the footage to a Facebook group for people who question the validity of the coronavirus and the need for lockdown.

In a bid to curb the spread of Covid-19 and protect staff, a number of shops across the UK have moved to cashless payments only.

Shocked baristas were 'left a tip' as he asked if they were going to call the police.

His video of his visit to the card-only branch has been seen by Edinburgh Live.

Fraser, who has decided not to expand on his trip to Starbucks this weekend, initially refused to provide his details for the Test and Protect scheme.

He then walked out with the food in protest - and claims he gave it to a homeless person.

"I don't need to give you my name to buy a panini, my friend," he is heard saying.

"See this cash pal, right, this cash is legal tender," Fraser added despite staff explaining the situation.

"Listen pal, I am gonna leave you payment. And I have even left you a tip. So there is my payment, thank you for the roll."

As the worker begins to explain she cannot accept cash payment, Fraser is heard saying: "Your company does not decide what legal tender is.

"I need to ask you one question. I am not running away. I am not stealing."

He posted later in the group to say he had given the panini to a homeless man.

A number of people congratulated the man on his stance.

One claimed he would would be doing the same from now on.
