Coronavirus compliant wedding packages launched at National Trust for Scotland properties

The National Trust for Scotland has created new coronavirus-compliant wedding packages for couples looking to plan their ceremonies soon.

The charity, which is a popular wedding venue, has looked to cater for current restrictions by creating the packages offering the chance for couple's big days to feel special and run smoothly.

Rebecca Sloan at the National Trust for Scotland said: “Normally, the only tiers we need to think about at weddings are how many the cake should have, but that’s all changed. The options we’ve put together are still full of style, sophistication and sparkle and can be tailored to make a personalised day, full of memories.”

The packages also come with a joint membership to the National Trust for a year, so you newlyweds can spend their first year of marriage visiting the beautiful properties.

These are the packages on offer:

Elopement

This package is aimed at couples looking to focus specifically on each other for their wedding day. A choice of beautiful locations, plus the ceremony, flowers and a romantic picnic are all included for £999.

Micro-wedding

Available at Brodie Castle, Castle Fraser, Culzean Castle, Fyvie Castle, Mar Lodge and Pollok House, this package is for weddings of up to 20 people in 2020/21 and includes a three course meal. Prices start from £3,600.

Luna and Dean recently married at Pollok House and described the experience as "fantastic".

"The often laborious task of choosing a wedding venue was made so much easier when we set our eyes on Pollok House. The location, the building and interiors really are beautiful," the newlyweds said.

“As Luna is Spanish we also love the connection that the venue has with Spain through its large Spanish art collection.  We chose Pollok House before Covid and whilst it was difficult being so restricted once the pandemic came around, it also helped so much that the staff were so accommodating and, in such difficult circumstances, they helped us have a fantastic wedding.

“One particular detail that we also love about the venue is the grand piano, which we of course took full advantage of for our ceremony music. We are so happy that we chose Pollok House, it's an absolutely stunning venue and we would recommend it to anyone.”
