Coronavirus claims another seven lives in Dumfries and Galloway in February 2021

A further seven people in Dumfries and Galloway have lost their lives as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

It takes the number of deaths in the region since the start of the pandemic to 154, with 75 of those deaths taking place in 2021.

The latest figures from National Records of Scotland show there were 323 deaths registered across Scotland between February 8 and 14 where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate - 54 less than the previous week.
