Pupils at Prince George's and Princess Charlotte's school are in self-isolation over fears they may have the coronavirus.
According to the Mirror Online , Thomas's Battersea primary school, in south-west London - attended by George,six, and Charlotte, four,- sent home four pupils who are currently awaiting test results for Covid-19.
Two of the children reported flu-like symptoms after returning home from a trip to northern Italy.
However, none of pupils at the school are confirmed to have contacted the virus, which has infected more than 80,000 people across the world.
Battersea isn't the only UK school to be affected by the outbreak in Italy following the country's ski season. Some schools have shut for the foreseeable future and others have temporarily sent pupils home while they await assessments.
However, Public Health England (PHE) advised schools to remain open.
Paul Cosford, the organisation's medical director told Radio 4's Today programme: "Schools have to take difficult decisions, given the complexity of issues that they are facing.
"What I would say is that our general advice is not to close schools."
The royal children's school is reported to have issued a statement to Spanish news site El Confidencial in which it confirmed the measures.
Thomas's Battersea said: "Like all schools, we are taking very seriously the potential risks related to the spread of Covid-19 and to this end we are following the Government's instructions to the letter on infection prevention and case management in which it is suspected that some staff member or students exposed to the virus or showing any symptoms.
"We currently have a very small number of students who have been evaluated and these individuals currently remain in their homes waiting to receive the results of their exams.
"All parents have been informed and we have maintained regular communication with our school community to ensure that councils are shared and important information circulated.
"Of course, we will preserve the confidentiality of staff and students, and we will not comment on specific cases."
Parents at the school have been sent an email, informing them that four children displayed flu-like symptoms.
Kensington Palace has been approached for comment on the development.
The Queen's granddaughter, Zara Tindall, will not be self-isolating following her skiing trip to northern Italy, it emerged yesterday (February 26).
Zara and husband Mike are understood to have returned from the town of Bormio, in the virus-hit Lombardy region, last week.
A spokeswoman for the couple said they were following official Government and health advice, but as they do not currently have any symptoms they would not be going into self-isolation.
