Coronavirus cases rise in Nottingham city and every part of the county

Every part of Nottinghamshire has recorded a rise in coronavirus cases over the last few days.

Since our last daily report on Wednesday, August 19, the city of Nottingham has seen an increase of 14 cases, brining the total to 1,301 today (Saturday, August 22).

The county's total is now 3,315, rising from 3,265.

The highest increase during the last four days has been recorded in the district of Newark and Sherwood, where there has been 20 further cases.

It comes after Newark was placed on the Government's watch list following an outbreak of Covid cases at the Bakkavor factory

This is the current breakdown of confirmed infections for each region of Nottinghamshire (increase since Wednesday, August 19):

  • Ashfield - 598 (increase of 1)
  • Bassetlaw - 649 (increase of 11)
  • Broxtowe - 454 (increase of 5)
  • Gedling -  398 (increase of 8)
  • Mansfield - 365 (increase of 2)
  • Newark and Sherwood - 441 (increase of 20)
  • Nottingham 1,301 (increase of 14)
  • Rushcliffe - 410 (increase of 3)
