Fourteen coronavirus patients have recently died in Bristol and its neighbouring areas, the latest figures show.
Bath and North East Somerset has reported high daily death tolls this week, with a further eight fatalities recorded today (February 5).
Meanwhile, four people died in South Gloucestershire after the contracting the virus. This district confirmed 88 new cases on Friday.
Both North Somerset and Bristol reported one death each.
Bristol's infections increased by 132 on February 5. Our city's rate per 100,000 people stands at 260.5 - slightly above the national average of 257.6.
North Somerset reported 53 new cases - its rate has dropped to 170.2.
The Department of Health's latest figures - for February 2 - show the number of Covid patients in the hospitals run by Bristol’s two NHS trusts has dropped to 362.

R rate
The South West's R rate is now believed to below one, which means the number of new infections across our area is shrinking every day.
Our region's reproductive number is estimated to be between 0.7 to 0.9 - a drop from the last Friday's 0.8 to 1.1.
It means that on average every 10 people who have contracted the virus will only spread it to between seven to nine others.
Nowhere across England has R above one, but North East and Yorkshire had the highest number of 0.8 to 1.0.
The R estimate for the whole of the UK is between 0.7 and 1.0, and means the virus is no longer spreading exponentially.
