A case of the coronavirus has been confirmed in Kent at a television studio as the number of cases diagnosed around the UK rises by four.
An employee of one of the businesses at Maidstone Studios is understood to have tested positive for the virus, as the number of confirmed cases in the UK rises to 40.
A spokesman for Vinters Business Park, where the studio is located, confirmed a tenant confirmed a member of their team had tested positive for Covid-19.
The team is self-isolating and working from home as a precaution, Vinters said.
According to Kent Live , the case is thought to be the first case of the virus officially known as Covid-19 in the county.
An employee was diagnosed with the infection yesterday evening.
In an email sent to staff, other workers at the site were told the person had been in the building last week and has been told to self-isolate as a precaution.
According to Kent Online, the staffmember had returned to work last week following a trip to Italy.


Popular Saturday night ITV entertainment show Take Me Out is among the programmes filmed at the studios.
ITV game show Catchphrase is also recorded at Maidstone.
The studio was also where the noughties reboot of classic BBC children's programme The Basil Brush Show was recorded.
A spokesman for Vinters Business Park said: "We can confirm that there has been notification that a tenant of the Vinters Business Park has made us aware that a member of their team has tested positive for Covid-19, and that their team is taking the sensible precaution of self-isolating and working from home.

"Vinters Business Park has taken steps to reiterate the guidance from UK government for employers and businesses.
"In the meantime, Vinters Business Park has activated a range of advised actions and procedures oriented to safeguard the health and safety of all tenants, as per the guidance from UK government."
PHE made the announcement this afternoon as the number of confirmed cases in the UK rose by four.
The outbreak, which originated in China, is now in every western country in Europe.
