Gardai have closed the car park in Glenlough in a bid to discourage large crowds amid the coronavirus crisis.
Restrictions are in place at the popular Wicklow tourist site over social distancing concerns.
Gardai have placed traffic diversions and have advised the public to avoid locations that may attract large crowds.
A garda spokesperson said: “The car parks in Glendalough are now closed until further notice due to social distancing concerns.
“Gardaí are currently on approach roads diverting traffic. Please practice Social Distancing if you are out and about today and avoid locations that may attract large crowds.
“Social Distancing is the only community response to limiting the spread of COVID-19.”
