There have been a further 386 Covid cases confirmed in Scotland as the latest infection rate data across the nation was revealed.
Figures have been produced by the Scottish Government this afternoon as part of its national COVID-19 daily briefing.
In terms of Public Health Scotland's rolling seven-day infection rate per 100,000 population, North Ayrshire stood at 80.9 as of Sunday, February 28. In East Ayrshire, it was 104.1 while it was 55.9 in South Ayrshire.
Falkirk currently has the highest infection rate in Scotland at 172.2. Stirling (153.9) is second-highest with West Dunbartonshire third-highest at 138.3.
No new deaths have been recorded in the past 24 hours which means 7,131 people have passed away since March.
However, data from the National Records of Scotland (NRS) shows 9,347 deaths had been registered up to Sunday, February 21 where the disease was mentioned on the death certificate.
Across the UK, the figure was 122,849 as of last night.
The number of positive coronavirus cases recorded by NHS Ayrshire & Arran has increased by 30 to 15,376.
There are five people, within the health board's region, in intensive care with confirmed COVID-19 which is the same number as yesterday.
In addition, the number of people in hospital with confirmed coronavirus at midnight was 102 which is down two on yesterday.
A total of 202,470 positive tests have been recorded since the end of February from 1.688 million tests carried out.
Across Scotland, as of 7.30am on Sunday morning, a total of 1,593,695 people had received the first dose of their Covid vaccine with 76,512 having received their second dose. Figures are not available to 8.30am this morning due to IT issues with the Scottish Government saying work is "ongoing" to resolve.
