Coronavirus and rising cases in Bristol: Would you support a Christmas lockdown?

As much as we’re all desperately trying to deny the reality, coronavirus cases are rising in Bristol and much of the country.

There has been talk of Plan As and Bs as cold weather sets in and the NHS feels the strain of another hard winter. And, sitting at the extreme end of the spectrum, is the potential for further lockdown measures - though Health Secretary Sajid Javid has said there will not be a lockdown for Christmas this year.

Last year the Prime Minister relaxed the Covid restrictions in place over Christmas and this year looks set to go ahead with no or minimal restrictions.

Health minister Edward Argar today denied there is a 'Plan C' to restrict household gatherings over the festive period.

It can be hard to know what’s fact from gossip as lockdown rumours whirl throughout the country - so we want to know what you think should happen winter.

Bristol Covid cases rose by 1,700 earlier this week, and after a blunder following false negative PCR test results, the truth of coronavirus in Bristol is now a pretty grim reality.

So, what do you think? Would you support a Christmas lockdown or further restrictions to keep us safe and alleviate pressure on the NHS?
