Coronavirus: Amanda Holden set to present Heart radio from home in self-isolation

Amanda Holden has announced she will present Heart radio from home on Thursday.

The Britain’s Got Talent presenter, 49, has followed suit of many celebs from Taylor Swift to Lady Gaga in self-isolating mode amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Her self-isolation followed Prime Minister Boris Johnson ’s advice to British citizens to work from home where possible

Mother-of-two Amanda reiterated it was a “trial” to see if it was possible to host the radio station from home.

The presenter made it clear she didn’t have any reason to “self-isolate” as the UK continued to fire fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

Amanda informed her radio fans about what was going to happen.

She said: “Tomorrow I am going to be working from home, to see if it works.

“I don’t need to self-isolate. It is a trial.”

The mother-of-three has been keeping her 1.3million fans in the loop on social media as usual.

On Monday, the presenter had updated her fans it was “business as usual” when she posed with Ashley Roberts at the Heart radio station.

Just a day later, Amanda confessed it was “very weirdly quiet” when she braved China town in central London near her offices at work.

The radio host shared her surprise at the ghost town-esque London cityscape following her “normal” day at work.

But the blonde bombshell admitted she was aware everyone was staying safe and self-isolating amid the coronavirus crisis.

Amanda filmed a camera pan to show how empty the streets were compared to a usually packed London square.

She said in a piece to camera: “It is weird. Very weirdly quiet. I know everyone is staying safe and self-isolating. I have been into work.

“This is China town. It feels like a movie, a weird movie. This is the quietest has ever been. The traffic this morning was terrible.”

Amanda has been part of the Heart radio family since April last year when she replaced Emma Bunton on the show.

The ITV darling has been residing at her lavish home with her husband Chris Hughes, whom she married in 2008.

They also live with their daughters Alexa, 14, and Hollie, eight.
