Composer Tony Britten rearranged it for UEFA in 1992 and it became the anthem for the new Champions League.
The rousing anthem is performed by London's Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and sung by the Academy of St Martin in the Fields Chorus in English, French and German.

King Charles III and Queen Camilla are being crowned at a historic coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey today.
It will be a momentous occasion for Brits, the majority of whom have never witnessed a new monarch take to the throne until now. The last coronation in the UK occurred 70 years ago in 1953, when Queen Elizabeth was crowned at the age of 27 following the death of her father.
Charles and Camilla travelled to the abbey in the Diamond Jubilee State Coach, arriving in time for the start of the ceremony at 11am. Following the service, led by the Archbishop of Canterbury and attended by around 2,000 invited guests, the newly crowned King and Queen will embark on their return journey, travelling in the Gold State Coach.
