Coronation Street villain Ray Crosby faces prison time for sexually assaulting Faye Windass

Evil Ray Crosby is set to face prison time for sexually assaulting Faye Windass on Coronation Street.

The nasty businessman, who is played by actor Mark Frost, was finally arrested in an airport lounge after his nasty schemes to achieve his redevelopment plan in Weatherfield at all costs.

Having locked Kevin and Debbie Webster in the bistro freezer in an attempt to freeze them to death, Ray was finally caught out.

He is now facing prison sentences for attempted murder but also for bribing a council planning committee.

On top of this, Faye Windass (Ellie Leach) will discover in scenes next week that he has now been charged with sexually assaulting her.

(ITV)

With all of this in mind, it seems that Ray will be spending the rest of his life behind bars.

Faye's father Tim Metcalfe and his wife Sally are delighted by the news, but Faye is still downbeat.

Life remains incredibly complicated for poor Faye as in addition to dealing with her trauma she also faces charges for mistakenly attacking Adam Barlow ( Sam Robertson ) in the Bistro believing him at the time to have been Ray.

Perhaps news of the charges being brought against Ray for what he put her through will help things improve.

As her sweet friend Craig (Colson Smith) tries to cheer Faye up in light of the news, can he take her mind off of the upcoming court date?

And will this really be the end of Ray Crosby's evil plans?

*Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV and is available on catch-up on ITV Hub.
