Coronation Street viewers will see two killers go head-to-head in the coming weeks, as Gary Windass takes on Ali Neeson.
Gary was revealed as the factory roof saboteur earlier this year, causing the incident that killed Rana Habeeb - while just months later he murdered loan shark Rick Neelan who was trying to kill him.
Since then he's become the new street villain and has even taken over Rick's business, threatening the likes of Ryan Connor and leaving people in horror.
But next week he sets his sights on love rival and Ryan's brother Ali - who he has no idea is a killer himself.
Ali killed villain Ronan last year who set out to kill his sibling and his mum Michelle Connor, while Ali struggled in the fallout regretting his actions.
Now, in the fallout of Ali's dangerous misdiagnosis of Emma Brooker which left her gravely ill, Gary is out to get him.
Ali recently split with Maria Connor, and it wasn't long before he was left jealous when she and Gary grew closer.
In scenes that will air next week, Ali tells Maria his regrets over dumping her leading to her comforting him.
When Gary finds out about it from Adam Barlow, he's left furious and while he forgives Maria he hires a private detective to get some dirt on the doctor.
With Ali reported to the authorities by Dr Gaddas, Gary gets his detective to do more digging before managing to track down the hospital drug dealer who recently supplied Ali with diazepam.
Ali was addicted to the drug with Dr Gaddas finding out and trying to help him - just as the dealer, Big Farmer, was arrested.
Gary and Lenny kidnap him, and with him bound and gagged they threaten him to tell them all he knows about Ali, wanting to take him down.
As Ryan warns Ali about Gary after his own beating from the villain, Ali gets the upper hand when he finds Gary's ledger at the furniture shop.
When he goes to visit Maria, he finds Gary there alone and pulls out the ledger before threatening to expose his loan shark business - but will he regret messing with Gary?
