Coronation Street Tyrone's hypocrisy pointed out by angry viewers

Coronation Street fans were quick to point out Tyrone's hypocrisy tonight as he bought Alina presents.

Tyrone has been complaining he's got no cash for weeks now and told his daughter Hope he had no money to buy her trainers.

But tonight he came back from town dressed in new clothes and with a load of shopping bags filled with gifts for his and Alina's baby.

Tyrone bought a scan keyring, a new baby grow and a Weatherfield Country teddy for the baby.

Later Hope came round to see him and he showed her the gifts he'd bought for the baby.

But Hope was less than impressed and said: "You haven't got money for the new trainers you promised but you've got money for baby clothes."

Tyrone said: "Yeah but trainers cost a lot of money, especially those light up ones you want, I'll buy you them next week when daddy's got money."

But Hope was having none of it and said: "You said this week, you said it, I'm not daft."

And viewers also questioned where the money had come from for the baby presents.

Pamela said: "Last week Tyrone couldn't pay for a meal and his card was declined. Now he's flushed and buying everything in Jo Jo Maman Bebe...sale of course."

Michelle said: "Tyrone's apparently too skint to buy Hope new trainers but he's splashing the cash on baby stuff already?"

Owen said: "For somebody with no money Tyrone seems to be splashing the cash."

And @vamplover27 said: "Spending more money Tyrone I thought you were brassic."

*Coronation Street continues at 7:30pm on ITV on Friday
