Coronation Street will air its first ever death on Christmas Day, as one character loses their life in a horror siege later this month.
Gary Windass' former colleague Derek will go on a gun rampage in The Rovers and the Winter Wonderland during the festive episode.
It's been confirmed several lives are on the line with at least two people shot - while the ITV soap has also revealed one victim will die.
Currently, Shona Ramsey and Robert Preston are tipped by fans to be killed off on December 25th.
But fans might be surprised to know that the show will make a historic move during the hour-long episode, and the scenes that air in the fallout.

Derek will storm into the pub with a shotgun, threatening to kill Gary as others watch on in horror.
He appears to hit Ali Neeson over the head before his gun goes off, shooting someone in the process.
It's then that he races into the Winter Wonderland leaving a number of characters in grave danger, before the gun goes off again.
Coronation Street airs on Christmas Day at 8pm in an hour-long episode on ITV.
