Coronation Street tight-lipped about plot-line after overturned prison van spotted during filming

An overturned prison van has been spotted during filming for what promises to be an explosive upcoming Coronation Street storyline.

Corrie bosses refused to be drawn on the nature of the scene, but it could but it could possibly relate to the Seb Franklin murder plot.

Film crews were spotted on the A666 between Bolton and Darwen, Lancs, where Tim Melia grabbed a picture of the overturned prison van.

“I took the picture at 12.20pm on Tuesday August 24,” Tim told LancsLive.

“I was chatting to the security guard on the road and we were speculating about the story line.

“It was a crashed prison van in Stones Bank Road, they closed the road while they were filming and wouldn’t let anyone past.”

Other eagle-eyed motorists said filming took place over a couple of days and involved a car as well as the prison van.

The scenes are likely to be connected to the soap’s current court trial during which Kelly Neelan has tried to prove that Corey Brent framed her for the brutal death of Seb Franklin.

The question is will Corey pay for what he’s done? Or will it be Kelly facing a stretch inside?

Next week the jury will give their verdict with viewers being teased that “some shocking news from the prison reaches the cobbles”.

A spokeswoman for ITV said the channel never comments on upcoming storylines or storyline speculation.
