Coronation Street has kept the fates of Nina Lucas and Seb Franklin under wraps in new spoilers, ahead of a devastating new storyline.
The characters, played by cast members Harry Visinoni and Mollie Gallagher, will be the victims of a vile and violent hate crime attack next week.
The culprits will be Asha Alahan's boyfriend Corey Brent and his gang, who confront Nina and Seb before chasing them and attacking them.
Nina and Seb will be left fighting for their lives after the assault, which begins when the group crosses paths with the couple in episodes airing next week.
Kelly Neelan slaps Nina after being egged on by the boys, while Corey makes disgusting remarks about goth Nina over her appearance - like he has done in the past.

As Seb and Nina run away to get away from the aggressive group, they are followed and attacked in horrifying scenes.
The unprovoked attack leaves both characters with serious injuries, and new spoilers tease their fates as their worried family members arrive at the hospital.
New images show a badly beaten Nina regaining consciousness, while boyfriend Seb's condition remains unknown.

But it's clear he is in a bad way as he is wheeled away for scans, with doctors unable to tell his mother Abi whether he will be okay.
It's revealed Nina has sustained several blows to her head, and she has to undergo an operation.
Abi learns that son Seb is in a bad way with his own injuries, but doctors are hopeful he will make a full recovery.

Soon they have to run more tests though, and the results come back as inconclusive meaning even more tests need to be carried out.
When Nina wakes up she is questioned by her uncle Roy Cropper and Abi, before the police also speak with her, but she can't remember much other than seeing Corey and his mates.
But will she remember the attack, and will those responsible be brought to justice?
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
