Coronation Street stars 'love each other really' despite on screen drama

Coronation Street stars Dan Brocklebank and Gareth Pierce say they "love each other really" despite their on screen feud.

On Wednesday night Todd, played by Gareth, was finally exposed, leaving Billy, played by Dan, heartbroken.

Billy and Todd got engaged and moved in together after Todd wormed his way in through various schemes - reports the Manchester Evening News.

But teenager Will, who Todd had paid to help him split up Billy and former partner Paul Foreman, had nothing to lose as he spilled the beans to a shocked Summer Spellman.

Will also confessed to Paul, and Paul shared Todd's confession video at the calendar launch party, where a horrified Billy watched on.

Billy confronted him before he and Summer reported Todd to the police after Paul was wrongly accused of stealing the heat pump for Billy's half-way house project.

The pair watched on as Todd left in a police car, leaving Billy heartbroken.

But Dan Brocklebank was quick to reassure fans that all the drama is on screen and that he and Gareth Pierce are firm friends away from the ITV set.

Dan shared a photo of him and Gareth together and captioned it: "See, we love each other really, we’ve even been camping together.. @garpierce @coronationstreet."

Dan and Gareth joined Tony Maudsley, Sue Cleaver and Julia Goulding for a mega soap camping trip earlier this month.

Gareth also shared Dan's post, simply writing: "Love you mate," alongside various stickers reading 'gone camping' and 'true bromance'.

But fans had a lot to say in response to Dan's latest post.

One said: "I wouldn’t trust that face… even if he is acting."

Another said: "Love that guys. Please don't let Todd be written out!! He's a fab actor."

A third said: "Aww just loooook. Beautiful people."

A fourth said: "Sorry but glad Todd got caught out," as another said: "How can I take it seriously now guys??!!"
