Coronation Street actor Tracy Shaw has shared an update with fans after announcing her breast cancer diagnosis.
Shaw, who played Maxine Peacock in the soap, recently told her Instagram followers that she will have to undergo chemotherapy for five months after lumps and lymph glands were discovered during a test.
In an Instagram post thanking people for their support on Wednesday (29 April), the actor paid particular attention to the “incredible” women who battled cancer that have reached out to her.
”This isn't about me. This is about me learning. About how ignorant I've been in this world of not understanding. I've had many friends unfortunately pass away from various forms of caner, so I'm at the beginning of learning so much from you ladies.”
