Coronation Street star says ‘life is a gift’ following cancer diagnosis

  • Shaw, who played Maxine Peacock in the soap, had previously informed her Instagram followers in April about her diagnosis.
  • The 52-year-old announced on Sunday, 17 May, that she is due to find out her chemotherapy start date after a hospital appointment on Monday, 18 May.
  • She shared a video montage on Instagram, reflecting on life as a 'gift' and finding peace in nature between hospital visits.
