Coronation Street star Jane Danson has confirmed she knows how her character's current heartbreaking storyline will end.
The actress revealed her Corrie alter-ego Leanne Battersby could "change" as a result of the conclusion to the plot, which has seen her son Oliver diagnosed with a genetic disease called mitochondrial disease.
The long-term condition is often fatal, while Oliver's parents are yet to discover his full diagnosis.
There's concerns he may have suffered brain damage, after a series of seizures triggered by the condition.
Now, actress Jane has hinted a tragic outcome for young Oliver, 3, after revealing the end of the storyline could "change" Leanne forever.

Speaking on Loose Women on Wednesday, the star revealed the storyline has been "difficult" but had a long way to go.
She told host Christine Lampard, speaking via video call "There is still a long way to go.
"We are on pause for now but it is difficult in parts."

Jane went on to hint at what was to come for the residents of Weatherfield, as Leanne and Oliver's father Steve McDonald remain fearful for their little boy.
Admitting she knew how the storyline was going to eventually play out, she teased the fallout to its conclusion.
Jane said: "Obviously I do know the endgame and I do know this will change Leanne as a character, but hopefully it will mean it takes her in a different direction... but who knows."
She confessed she was worried about taking on the storyline at first, while admitting it is a huge responsibility.
Jane wasn't sure how her character would move forward, or how she would cope if her son tragically died.
She explained: "I wouldn't say I was worried I was gonna get the sack cos when you're in a soap there's always that fear hanging over you.

"It's never a guaranteed job for life, and there's always a chance you could be a casualty of a storyline.
"I felt with this story I was worried with what direction they might go in, and how Leanne might cope if the worst came to the worst so I was a little bit concerned."
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm on ITV.
