Kym Marsh has revealed she burst into tears when she found out her first grandchild was named in tribute to her late son.
The Coronation Street star's daughter Emilie Cunliffe welcomed her first child Teddy Archie David Hoszowskyj on May 3 with her partner Mikey Hoszowskyj.
And in a moving tribute Emilie chose his middle in honour of her baby brother Archie who tragically died at 21 weeks of pregnancy in 2009.
Speaking in this week's edition of OK! Magazine, Emilie says she wanted his name to be a surprise for her mum, who was her co-birthing partner with Mikey.
Emilie, 22, said: “His full name is Teddy Archie David Hoszowskyj. Archie after my late brother, and David after my brother, dad and grandfather."
After Teddy was born, weighing 7lb 2oz, Emilie and Mikey cooked Kym a meal, bought her flowers and presented her with a keyring with a picture of Teddy in it engraved with the message: 'Dear Loli, thank you for everything. Love, Teddy Archie David Hoszowskyj.'"

Kym, who chose the name 'Loli' as an alternative to grandmother, grandma, nan or nanny, said: "I didn’t think they would, and nor should they have felt they had to.
"As far as I knew, he was going to be called Teddy David and I was chuffed with the name David being in there.
"When I found out his name, I burst into floods of tears.”
"But now Archie lives on in Teddy’s name. Having a baby boy in the house with Archie’s name as part of his means the world to me."
Emilie added: “Teddy’s birth certificate means a lot to Mum too as Archie never had one, nor did he have a death certificate, so there are no official records of his existence.”

Emilie and Mikey shared a photo of their son's tiny hand on Instagram the day after his birth to announce the happy news.
Doting mum Emilie said on Instagram: "Welcome to the world my precious baby boy.
"You have filled a space in my heart that I never even knew was there, and you’ve managed to take over the whole of it.”
Kym, 43, who plays Michelle Connor in Corrie, said on her social media: “Last night was a night I will never forget. I became a ‘Loli’ for the first time!!! My beautiful daughter was an absolute warrior and her partner and I were the best birthing team we could be!!!

“I was so honoured to have been a part of bringing him into the world. “My beautiful grandson, I love you I will always love you and I promise to help guide you through life as best I can.”
And the smitten ‘Loli’ said on Twitter: “Did I mention I am in love with my grandson?”
