Coronation Street star has left the soap after four months

Kimberly Hart-Simpson has left Coronation Street after four months on the cobbles.

Kimberley has filmed her final scenes as feisty Nicky Wheatley the soap has confirmed.

The 33-year-old joined the show as escort Nicky this summer.

The character caught widower Daniel Osbourne's eye - and Kimberley said it was the 'proudest moment of her life' to star in the world's longest running soap opera which turns 60 in December.

Daniel fell for Nicky (ITV)

Kimberly previously played Beverley in Hollyoaks earlier this year and has also appeared in the Sky One comedy Mount Pleasant.

In the Channel Four soap Hollyoaks she played struggling mum Maxine Minniver's ruthless landlady who took away her furniture after she failed to pay her debts.

She also appeared on the soap back in 2017 as the character Davina and was in Mount Pleasant in 2011.

Daniel clashed with Sinead's family over Nicky (ITV)

Announcing her arrival on Coronation Street she told her followers: "After nearly decade of auditioning ... believing ... It’s happened.

"Proudest moment of my life. #corrie #dreamz #proud #lifegoals."

Nicky appeared in Daniel's life when Adam Barlow decided it was time for him to get out and about following the death of his wife Sinead last October.

They met at Adam's swanky lawyers’ drinks reception and hit it off, until Daniel realised she wanted to charge him for his time.

The father-of-one then turned to her for comfort, much to the horror of Sinead's family.

He paid her to wear his wife's clothes as he opened up about their time together, and it soon became clear that Daniel had feelings for her, urging her to quit her life as a sex worker.

When Nicky ended up in hospital following a nasty attack, Daniel stole money from vile Geoff Metcalfe and gave it to the single mum so she could start a new life.
