Former Coronation Street star Frank Mills has died at the age of 93.
Frank played barmaid Betty Williams' husband Billy in the ITV soap.
But the star had also appeared in other TV shows including Midsomer Murders, Foyle's War and The Palace - reports Mirror Online.
His obituary in the Maldon Standard said: "Frank Sadly passed away on 11th February, aged 93 years.
"Much loved Father to Paula and Ruth, Grandad to Amy, Phil and Lizi, and Great Grandad to Kara and Jack. Due to current Covid-19 restrictions, private funeral will take place on Monday 8th March, with a full Memorial Service planned for later in the year as a celebration of Frank's life.
"Flowers or donations, if desired, payable to Farleigh Hospice may be sent c/o G W Hardy & Son, The Green, Finchingfield, Essex CM7 4JS."
Frank joined the cast of Coronation Street in 1995 playing a former boyfriend of barmaid Betty.
William 'Billy' Williams walked into the Rovers Return on the anniversary of VE Day with pal Archie Wardle where he recognised his former sweetheart Betty working behind the bar.
The pair tied the knot in October 1995 but the marriage proved to be short-lived as Billy suffered a fatal heart attack two years later.

Billy was Betty's second husband, with her first Cyril also dying of a heart attack in 1974 - leaving Betty with just £859.
Frank's two year stint as Billy was not his first appearance on the soap.
He also had a minor role in 1976 playing Ivor Mortlake.
