Coronation Street star Fiz Stape could be departing famous cobbles after 21 years

Coronation Street star Fiz Stape could be departing the famous cobbled streets after 21 years of being one of the soap's best loved characters.

Fiz is moving house on screen with lover Phill (Jamie Kenna), who helped Maria with a confidential report proving the council were trying to cover up the dangers of local air pollution.

The pair are overheard and it looks like trouble is ahead for Phill.

On Wednesday's episode, Gary and Maria go to the polling station to cast their votes and even pose up for pictures.

Maria is told by Phill that he could lose his job over the leaked report and also discovers her brother Kirk has been sacked from his job as Buzzer Bee.

When Phill does actually lose his job in next week's episode he tells Fiz he can't afford the renovation on the house.

The estate agent tells Fiz they will need to lower the price of the house as the sinkhole is putting people off.

After expecting Tyrone to be slow at dropping the price, Fiz and Phill cant believe it when the estate agent reveals he's lowered it after Tyrone instructed him.

Fiz thanks Tyrone and says its her intention with Phill to move into the new house as soon as .they can.

Tyrone gets upset after hearing Fiz and Phill will be leaving so soon.

Weatherfield may never be the same again, but will they leave for good?
