Former Coronation Street star Charlie Condou announced his sister Niki Shisler has died aged 59.
Charlie, who played Marcus Dent on the soap, shared the sad news on Twitter.
On Wednesday, he tweeted that Niki had lost her battle with ovarian cancer 'a few days ago'.

Sharing a link to a JustGiving page, he said a fundraiser for Nia, a charity that aims to end violence against women and children, had been started in his sister's name.
Nia said: We are honoured to have been chosen as the charity in memory of Niki Shisler who died of ovarian cancer on January 16th 2022.
"Supporting female and child victims of male violence was a cause very dear to her heart."
Charlie added: "In memory of my beautiful sister, who died a few days ago."
Some of his friends were quick to comment on the post, offering their condolences.
Sue Perkins said: "I’m so sorry."
Jane Danson said: "Charlie, so very sorry to hear this. Sending love to you and your family."
Paula Lane said: "Oh Charlie, I’m so sorry xx."
Gaby Roslin tweeted: "Oh Charlie I am so so sorry. Sending you my deepest sympathies and so much love my darling."
Sally Lindsay said: "So very sorry Charlie xx."
And Michelle Hardwick said: "So sorry, thinking of you all and sending love."
In 2019, Charlie said Niki had begun chemotherapy treatment.
He said: "My bloody incredible sister, a true warrior, role model, inspiration and all-around badass.
"She’s just started chemotherapy for her third bout of cancer with an abundance of grace, serenity & acceptance. I’m in awe. I love you @nikishisler, you Queen."
