Coronation Street star Alexandra Mardell has announced her engagement to her boyfriend Joe Parker.
Alexandra, who plays Emma Brooker on the ITV soap, shared her happy news on Instagram last night.
Alexandra, 27, shared three photos of herself and Joe, 26 as she showed off her new sparkly ring.
She captioned the post: "Love locked down!! 1000000 times yes!
"You make me so happy, my face hurts! Love you ridiculously. Future Mrs Parker."
Alexandra's former co-star Lucy Fallon said: "OMG!!!!!!! So happy for you both! Congratulations!!! Crying real tears xxxxxxxx."
Julia Goulding, who plays Shona Ramsey, said: "Yaaaaay! This is wonderful news! Congratulations guys."
Samia Longchambon said: "Whaaaaa!! Amazing news you gorgeous pair! Huge congrats Ali!"
Catherine Tyldesley said: "Congratulations guys."
And Emmerdale's Lisa Riley said: "yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee that's amazing!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS loving the love."
Alexandra and Joe, who met whilst studying acting together in 2012, didn't form a romantic relationship until after they had graduated in 2017.
In October 2019, the couple spoke about their relationship in an interview with OK! magazine.
Alexandra said: "We were both in other relationships, I was friends with Joe's girlfriend and he knew my boyfriend.

"Then when we were both single it just happened. All our friends were like: 'Well, that's obvious!' Everyone could see it but us."
And when it came to who made the first move, Ali said: "That was definitely me!"
Joe, who has starred in BBC soap Doctors, shot down the idea of a proposal at the time, saying: "Not yet! It’s a bit early."
