The recipe for a perfect night out is one third food, one food wine, and one third company - according to Coronation Street stud Alan Halsall.
And it seems had the right balance as he went on a double date with his girlfriend Tisha Merry and his brother Ste Halsall and sister-in-law Clare Fltcher.
The fact that the foursome were off to watch Cirque du Soleil later that evening was nothing more than a bonus for the group.
Taking to Instagram as the two couples revelled in a post-dining glow, Alan explained he was having a marvellous Saturday night out.
“Great company [tick], Great food [tick], Great wine [tick], Great night,” the soap star wrote as he shared a photo of himself flanked by Tisha, Ste and Clare.
He added that they were going off to watch the circus themed show - but the beaming smiles of the group already proved they were having a fantastic time with dinner, minus a show.
Alan plays Tyrone Dobbs in Corrie - a role he has held since 1998.
He used to be married to Coronation Street co-star Lucy-Jo Hudson, 36, and the couple have a five-year-old daughter named Sienna.
However the romance soured and they announced their divorce in 2018 - with the legal process believed to be ongoing.
Alan has been in a romantic relationship with 26-year-old Tisha (who plays Steph Britton on Corrie) since 2019 - with rumours suggesting the pair embarked on their romance not long after new year, but they didn’t go public with the relationship until May.
