The devastating factory collapse sees the return of Wayne Hayes, the boy Roy and Hayley Cropper cared for years ago, to Corrie and he's the health and safety inspector working on the case.
Wayne assures a stricken Roy that the recent boat fire next to the factory wasn’t the cause of the roof collapse.
Meanwhile Robert Preston reappears at the bistro and is evasive about where he’s been for the last few days.
And in Carla’s absence, Michelle Connor assures everyone that her friend couldn’t have known about the state of the roof and would never have put lives at risk.
