Coronation Street spoilers: New beginnings as a new family move in and Sarah and Michelle move on

Mary Taylor and Ken Barlow watch with sadness next week as new Coronation Street neighbour Ed Bailey clears the contents of number 3 into a skip.

But things don't get off to a great start when when Ken mistakes Ed for a builder and not the new owner of the house previously occupied by Norris Cole and Emily Bishop.

In the Rovers, Ed enjoys winding up Ken and Chesney Brown, making out that the new owners have 10 children and a similar number of animals.  Then Ken, who lives next door at number one, threatens to complain about the noise they're making.

Meanwhile, Ed's eldest son Michael receives a warmer welcome from Michelle Connor.

After splitting from Robert Preston it seems she's keen to move on, and she arrives for their date at her ex's Bistro looking a million dollars. Awkward.

The date goes well until Michael invites Michelle back to his ‘bachelor pad’ for coffee and it turns out to be his mum and dad’s old house.

Meanwhile back on the cobbles, the Baileys crack open the rum and agree they wouldn’t choose to live on Coronation Street but they’ll have to make the best of things.

Meanwhile Nick Tilsley locks his brother David in the barber shop to stop him going to the police after they stole money from their gran Audrey. As the boys fight will David get to the station in time?

Sarah kisses Adam but as they head upstairs, they're horrified to hear the front door unlocking (ITV)

And their sister Sarah is preoccupied with her new love interest Adam Barlow.

But as they head upstairs, they’re horrified to hear the front door unlocking after Bethany gave Sarah's ex Gary Windass the keys to cook her mum a surprise meal.

Also on the street Tim checks on Tiny but, returning home from the stables in a state, he reveals that the horse has gone.

And Sinead puts on a brave face after receivig a letter from the hospital confirming her MRI scan.
