There's dramatic scenes on next week's Coronation Street when Gemma Winter accidentally puts the quadruplets in danger, and abusive husband Geoff Metcalfe goes missing.
Struggling new mum Gemma, who is refusing to face that she has postnatal depression, boards a bus with her four babies but suddenly she’s overcome by a wave of anxiety and hurries off, leaving the quads behind.
Having watched in horror, her partner Chesney Brown sprints after the bus to rescue their babies.
Later in the week on Corrie a distraught Gemma admits to her friend Rita Tanner that she can’t cope and is consumed by dark thoughts.
The worried mum finally admits to Chesney that she no longer feels in control and her supportive partner steers her to the medical centre.
Meanwhile a determined Yasmeen Metcalfe picks up her suitcase and strides out of the house after months of abuse inflicted on her by her cruel husband Geoff.
She tells granddaughter Alya that she’s coming to Zeedan's wedding, and that she was right all along about Geoff.
But Yasmeen’s horrified to find messages on her phone from Geoff, suggesting he might take his own life.
She insists that she must check on Geoff and Alya offers to go with her, but Yasmeen’s horrified to find a smashed photo frame with drops of blood, and no sign of Geoff.
Also next week the tragic news is broken to Ken Barlow and his family that his beloved dog Eccles has died.
There's an unwelcome blast from the past when Gary Windass sees Rick Neelan's daughter Kelly in the cafe, and learns that she's enrolled at Weatherfield High.
And there's trouble for the women of Weatherfield when Nina reveals that she, Mary and Evelyn are off to a zero carbon protest at the town hall and Toyah joins them.
Later, Leanne breaks the news to solicitor boyfriend Imran that Toyah, Nina, Mary and Evelyn have been arrested.
